Stephie Garcia, a local artist from Annapolis, enjoys volunteering her time face painting for local charities. She explained to me that there was only one problem. No Apron!
" I am constantly ruining nice clothes because I don't wear an apron. Whenever doing work with paint and children there are bound to be instances where a spill or a splash of paint ends up on my shirt," says Stephie. She needed something that she could wash over and over and would be low maintenance. " I'm so tired of buying what appears to be a cute ruffled fun apron and only getting one use out of it because it requires endless hours of ironing and pressing or dropping off at the dry cleaners. I ended up throwing them away because the paint just went through it because it was so thin and because I didn't have time for the fuss."
Stephanie is a big fan of pop art and she immediately fell in love with this comic/pop art inspired pattern. Now she wears it to all of her events, " I get alot of compliments on this apron. I plan on ordering more especially for fall and winter events!" says Stephie with so much excitement. It warms my heart to see my aprons in action. Thank you Stephanie for these photos!
